Vegan Alfredo Sauce Recipe

Alfredo sauce is a creamy, savory sauce traditionally made with butter, cream, and Parmesan cheese. This vegan version is just as delicious and will satisfy anyone's craving for Alfredo sauce!

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup plain unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/4 cup vegan butter

Instructions:

  • Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add the onion and garlic and sauté until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the flour and stir for 1 minute.
  • Slowly whisk in the vegetable broth, stirring constantly until the mixture is smooth.
  • Stir in the nutritional yeast, salt, and pepper.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove the sauce from the heat and stir in the almond milk and vegan butter until combined.
  • Serve over your favorite pasta.
